Students will engage in a rigorous course of study and are required to complete 24 units of course credit across an assortment of content areas to prepare them for acceptance requirements at postsecondary institutions.

The coursework required includes the following:

• 4 units of English language arts

• 4 units of mathematics

  • *Could include 1.0 Financial Algebra

• 3 units of science

  • 2 unit lab science, 1 unit science elective

• 3 units of social studies

  • Includes 0.5 units Civics, 0.5 units of Introduction to Ethnic Studies or other approved Ethnic Studies elective course, 0.5 units of The History of Power, Conflict and Healing

  • *Could include 0.5 units of Personal Finance

• 1 unit of physical education

• 1 unit arts or eligible Career & Technical Education (CTE) arts

• 0.5 units of Comprehensive Health

• 7.5 units of approved electives
