Denver Public Schools is committed to providing equitable access to our web content for individuals with disabilities in accordance with Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act. The District has begun a project to ensure that all digital services and content are accessible to all, in our effort to be in compliance with House Bill 21-1110. This law has strengthened state discrimination laws for individuals with disabilities to ensure that all individuals have access to digital content created by local government entities, including websites, applications, documents, and more. The adopted standard for accessibility is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1 AA (WCAG 2.1 AA Guidelines).

Section 504 requires us to ensure that persons with disabilities seeking information or services from us have access to and use of information and data that is comparable to the access and use by persons who are not individuals with disabilities unless an undue burden would be imposed on us. To meet this commitment, we are consistently auditing our web pages to meet or exceed the Section 504 standards. Our team is dedicated to creating digital experiences that are accessible to everyone, regardless of ability, going forward. We are committed to empowering people with disabilities by making our content seamless and easy to navigate.
